Diving, snorkeling, and fun – experiences that bring you closer together
There are vacations where you just let the days drift by between trips to the beach, ice cream, and sunscreen. And then there are vacations where you feel something changing—where you experience something new together as a family, and where you suddenly have time to see each other in a whole new light. A family diving vacation is just such a trip.
This is not about achieving as much as possible in the shortest amount of time. On the contrary, it is about slowing down, taking a deep breath, and together opening the door to a world that many only dream of. It's the kind of vacation where children disappear beneath the surface and reemerge with eyes shining with something that cannot be bought – only experienced. And the kind of vacation where, as a parent, you also become a little bit of a child again.
Why choose a family vacation with diving?
Diving and snorkeling are something special. It is an experience where calm and excitement go hand in hand. You float weightlessly in the blue universe, sharing glances and small hand signals – and suddenly you are sharing something big, without having to say a word.
For children, the sea is like a giant playground full of colorful surprises. For adults, it is a chance to feel present—something that is often difficult to find in everyday life. Here, there are no emails, no to-do lists. Just you, the sea, and the moment.
And then there's the cosiness. That special, relaxed atmosphere that arises when you've had an adventure and then settle down by the pool with an ice-cold drink, talk about the day's experiences or just enjoy the silence together. Many families tell us that diving vacations give them a different kind of closeness—because you are simply forced to slow down and experience everything together.
Bali – exotic adventures, warm smiles, and an underwater world full of colors
Bali is for those of you who dream of a great adventure, where your vacation feels both safe and full of exotic atmosphere. Here you will find an island buzzing with life, colors, scents, and welcoming, smiling people—and just below the surface of the sea, a world awaits that will take the breath away from both children and adults alike.
You can snorkel directly from the beach, where colorful fish swim among living corals and turtles often glide by as if to say hello. For beginners, the conditions are ideal: calm waters, gentle currents, and instructors who are accustomed to teaching children and families.
Many of our travelers say that Bali is the place where they really relax—perhaps because the island itself radiates warmth and tranquility. There is something about the mornings with gentle waves, lush surroundings, and the warm breeze that makes you forget all about time.
And Bali is much more than just the sea. After your dive, you can take a trip to temples, markets, or rice terraces, go on a boat trip, eat freshly grilled seafood at sunset, or simply retreat to your villa and enjoy the view before taking a dip in the sea or the pool.
Bali is the kind of place where every day feels like a little story—and where you quickly feel like returning.
Malta & Gozo – The tranquil pearl of the Mediterranean with family fun and crystal clear waters
If you dream of a vacation closer to Denmark without compromising on water activities or holiday atmosphere, Malta, and Gozo in particular, is a fantastic choice. Here you get a mix of authentic Mediterranean life, beautiful views, warm temperatures, and a sea so clear that even children can see all the way to the bottom before they even jump in.
Gozo is compact, local, and extremely welcoming. It is an island where things move a little slower, where you have time to say good morning to your neighbor, and where children quickly settle in—both in the pool and in the water.
Many families love that you can walk straight out from the shore and go snorkeling without needing a lot of transportation or extensive preparation. In addition, the island offers historical experiences, small harbor towns, cozy restaurants, and the perfect setting for a relaxed family vacation where everyone can participate at their own level.
And then there's the diving. Gozo is known worldwide for its beautiful underwater formations, tunnels, and caves—but also for its calm coastal spots, where beginners can safely take their first dives. The combination of safety, closeness, and adventure is exactly what makes the island a favorite for many of our families. And if you are more experienced, there are also plenty of dives to throw yourself into – there is something for all levels and desires.
Diving at your level – whether you are adventurous beginners or more experienced divers
One of the greatest strengths of a family diving vacation is that everyone can have an experience that suits them. Children can start with snorkeling or Bubblemaker, while adults take a trial dive or perhaps their first certification. And the more experienced divers can explore reefs, caves, and wrecks, while the rest of the family enjoys themselves on land or at the water's edge.
We work exclusively with diving centers that are used to families and that we know personally. Therefore, you can be sure that safety is a priority and that both small and large needs are taken into account. This makes all the difference when children are learning something new – and when you as parents want to be able to relax and enjoy the experience together.
This is often where the best memories are made: when you share your first real dive, when you point out the same fish, or when you sit around the pool afterwards telling stories about who saw what.

A typical day on Gozo – peace, relaxation, and crystal-clear sea
Imagine waking up in your villa in Gozo, where the morning sun has already cast a soft light over the pool. The island is quiet at this time of day – only the sound of an early pigeon and the smell of freshly baked bread from the bakery on the corner. The children might jump in the pool while you set a simple breakfast table on the terrace. This is a vacation as it should be: slow, warm, and with no plans to keep.
After breakfast, you stroll down to the coast or the diving center, which is close to your accommodation. The atmosphere is relaxed; the instructors already know you, and everything proceeds at a pace that suits you. Perhaps you will snorkel from the beach today, or maybe you will take a leisurely coastal dive, following the light dancing down through the clear Mediterranean Sea. Even the youngest feel safe here – the water is warm and the visibility makes the experience safe, fun and manageable.
When you come back up, it's time for an ice cream at the local café, a dip in the pool, or just a nap in the shade. Gozo naturally invites you to relax—it's an island where you don't have to rush anywhere.
In the afternoon, you can go on a little excursion: perhaps to the idyllic town of Xlendi, a trip to the old citadel in Victoria, or a boat trip along the coast. Round off the evening at a local restaurant, where the children can choose between pasta, fish, pizza, or something else delicious, and where you adults can enjoy a glass of Maltese wine while the sun sets over the sea.
The day ends as it began – quietly, warmly, and mindfully. A day where you have experienced something together, without it having to be big or wild. This is Gozo at its best.
Sea views, pool, sun loungers, peaceful surroundings, beautiful weather, and the best company—Gozo is something truly special—especially delicious!
A typical day in Bali – gentle tropical mornings, colorful corals, and evenings in paradise
In Bali, the day often begins with the quiet sound of the ocean and soft light filtering through the palm trees. You wake up to a breakfast of fresh fruit, pancakes, and coffee with a view of the ocean, the pool, and the lush garden. The children may be playing in the pool while you find your snorkel masks and sunscreen, and the atmosphere is already relaxed from the early morning hours—Bali has that kind of magic.
When the sun is a little higher, lie by the pool or head to the resort's diving center, where the instructors will welcome you with warm smiles and calm expertise. Perhaps a trial dive is on the agenda, where you will venture out onto the house reef directly from the beach. Colorful fish swim around you, and maybe a turtle glides by on its way out to the deeper blue. For many children, this moment is something they will remember for the rest of their lives.
After your underwater adventure, the day is yours to spend as you wish. You can enjoy lunch with a sea view, take a dip in the infinity pool, or drive to a nearby rice field, temple, or small local market. Bali makes it easy to combine relaxation and adventure—one naturally follows the other.
Towards evening, you can enjoy the golden hour by the pool or in the sea. The children play while you enjoy a drink overlooking the sea. Dinner is served at the most delicious exotic restaurant with lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the aroma of exotic food in the air.
The day ends in the soft warmth with tired, happy children and the familiar question:
“What shall we do tomorrow?”
– who in Bali always give the same answer:
"Exactly what we want."
